Revenue Cycle Accounting Director

JustinBradley’s client, a nonprofit in downtown D.C., is looking for a Revenue Cycle Accounting Director who will oversee the Company’s commercial revenue-cycle related processes to strengthen internal controls, improve efficiencies, and to ensure monthly reporting in compliance with GAAP. The Director will be responsible for driving the month-end commercial revenue close and investigating variances from plans. The Director will supervise two staff and will have oversight responsibility over all the company’s commercial revenue-cycle processes including billings, collections, and customer payment application.

Requirements

  • Strong GAAP knowledge
  • 7+ Years revenue recognition commercial (products & services)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong internal controls knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of revenue-cycle processes
  • BA in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field
  • Certified Public Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly recognition of all commercial revenue for compliance with GAAP (ASC 606).
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis comparing actual revenue to financial plans.
  • Strengthen controls throughout the revenue-cycle related processes of billings, AR management, collections, and customer payment application. Improve efficiencies of revenue-cycle related processes through further automation.
  • Supervise, train and mentor the Accounting staff responsible for delivering all day-to-day accounting activities for commercial revenue-cycle related processes of billings, AR management, collections, and customer payment application.
  • Assist in implementing an internal control self-assessment process to test the adequacy of controls within the company’s commercial revenue-cycle related processes.
